Tutoring & instructors

How do online tutoring lessons work?
Every lesson is a live, one-on-one session between your student and their instructor, held over a live Microsoft Teams audio call with screen sharing and a shared interactive whiteboard (and a shared code editor for computer science). Lessons follow your student's own school curriculum and current coursework. All you need is a computer or tablet, a stable internet connection, and a microphone.
What subjects and grade levels do you cover?
We teach students in grades 9–12 across mathematics (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics), the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Environmental Science), and computer science (Python, Java, web development, and school CS coursework), plus dedicated SAT & ACT test preparation. See the full list on our Subjects page.
Who are the instructors?
Experienced subject teachers, screened for expertise in the courses they teach and for their ability to teach one-on-one. We match each student with an instructor based on subject, grade level, goals, and schedule — and the free trial lessons exist precisely so you can judge the fit before paying anything.
Is tutoring one-on-one or in groups?
Strictly one-on-one. Every session is individual, with a lesson plan customized to your student — no group classes, no shared attention.
Do you help with homework and test prep?
Yes — both are included in every subject. Instructors work through current assignments with the student (teaching the method, not just handing over answers) and shift into focused review and exam strategy before quizzes, midterms, and finals. For dedicated SAT/ACT preparation, choose Test Prep as the plan subject.
Can my student study more than one subject?
Yes. Each plan covers one subject, taught by a specialist instructor for that subject. To add a subject, the student enrolls in a plan for that subject with its own instructor and schedule — and the 2nd and 3rd subject enrollments receive 10% off their monthly price, applied automatically to your invoice.

Free trial lessons

How do the free trial lessons work?
Every new student gets up to three free 30-minute trial lessons in one subject. They'll meet their matched instructor, experience our teaching approach, and the instructor will assess strengths and gaps. No payment details are required, and trials never auto-enroll you in a paid plan.
What happens after the trials?
You decide. If you'd like to continue, pick a monthly plan and a weekly schedule. If not, simply stop — there's nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.

Scheduling

When are lessons available?
Weekday plans run Monday–Friday in the afternoons and evenings; weekend plans run Saturday and Sunday. Lessons recur at fixed weekly times agreed with your instructor, so tutoring becomes part of the routine.
What if we need to reschedule or miss a lesson?
Rescheduling is free with prior notice — we recommend at least 24 hours. A lesson missed without prior notice is treated as a committed session: it is not made up or credited, as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If your instructor ever has to cancel, the lesson is always rescheduled at no cost.

Payments & billing

How does billing work?
Each plan has one fixed monthly price in US Dollars (USD) covering every lesson on your student's regular weekly schedule that calendar month — months vary in length, but your price doesn't. At month end you receive an invoice at your plan rate (with a session log for your records), due within 7 days; a receipt is issued once payment is confirmed. Partial months are prorated.
What payment methods do you accept?
We bill by monthly invoice rather than on-site checkout. Invoices arrive by email — or WhatsApp on request — and include a secure payment link from our payment provider listing the available methods; major credit and debit cards are supported. Payment is completed on the provider's secure payment page, and InfoFusion never receives or stores your card details.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
No. There are no long-term contracts, no enrollment fees, and no hidden charges. You may pause or discontinue at any time with 24 hours' notice before your next scheduled lesson; your final month is prorated.
How does the 10% family & multi-subject discount work?
Two ways to save. Siblings: when two students from the same household are enrolled, the lower-priced enrollment receives 10% off its monthly tuition. Additional subjects: a student's 2nd and 3rd subject enrollments each receive 10% off their monthly price. Discounts are applied automatically to your monthly invoice while the eligible enrollments remain active.

Refunds & cancellation

Can I get a refund?
Because InfoFusion invoices customers after lessons are delivered, many billing issues can be resolved before any payment is made. If you believe an invoice contains an error, please contact us as soon as possible — we will review the invoice and, where appropriate, correct or adjust it before payment is due.

If an invoice has already been paid and you believe a billing error occurred, contact us with the invoice details. If we determine that a billing error occurred — such as a duplicate charge, a class charged but not delivered, or a verified technical issue on our side — we may issue an account credit, a partial refund, or a full refund, as appropriate.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method; bank and payment-provider processing typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider or card issuer. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel by email or phone at any time. We require 24 hours' notice before your next scheduled lesson: lessons occurring within the 24-hour notice period may still be billed as committed sessions, while all later lessons are cancelled without charge. There are no cancellation fees or long-term contracts, and your final invoice is prorated to the cancellation date.
